The only aspects that moderate and temper the influence of Mars in this house are those of a favourable nature from Saturn or Mercury, and under some conditions those coming from Uranus, when great mental energy and keen inventive genius are denoted. The afflictions of the various planets to Mars in the third house are very critical, especially afflictions from Uranus, which has a certain violent tendency. All persons with Mars in the third are liable at some period of their lives to a touch of brain-fever, or some over-balancing of the mental faculties
